In an endeavor to enhance understanding and implementation of vibration monitoring for Integrally Geared Centrifugal (IGC) Compressors, our client METRIX commissioned and collaborated with IMMIX Productions to create an insightful and educational animation video. This project aimed to provide comprehensive details on how METRIX’s scalable solutions can cater to the monitoring needs of both API 617 Process Compressors and API 672 Packaged Air Compressors.

The animation meticulously covers the essential components of IGC Compressors, explaining the functionality of each part, including the Bull Gear, Pinions, Impellers, Radial Bearings, and Thrust Bearings. Additionally, it delves into the significance of monitoring with MX8030 Radial Vibration Proximity Probes, which are crucial for ensuring the precision and efficiency of these compressors.

IMMIX Productions worked closely with the METRIX design team to create a visually compelling and technically accurate animation. The video demonstrates the application of the METRIX Digital Proximity System, highlighting advanced features like Cross Talk elimination, Spike Suppression, and high-speed RPM measurements.

These features showcase the capability of METRIX products to handle the demands of industrial environments, thereby minimizing unplanned downtime and avoiding catastrophic failures.
